coComment WordPress Plugin v1.0

After some more work and a code cleanup version 1.0 of the coComment Enhancer plugin for WordPress is now ready to download and deploy.

The display of the toggle switch, to enable or disable comment tracking with coComment is now a configurable option in the Administration Panel of WordPress, as is the image to display for the switch.

Furthermore the display text were localized to english, german and french.

Complete information and the link to download are now to be found on a separate page for the coComment Enhance plugin for WordPress 1.5.x and 2.x.

Nach ein wenig mehr Arbeit ist nun die Version 1.0 des coComment Enhancer fertig.Auf vielseitigen Wunsch ist nun der Schalter zum Ein- und Ausschalten der coComment Integration eine über den Administrationsbereich konfigurierbare Option. Ebenfalls konfiguriert werden kann das zu verwendende Bild.

Ausserdem wurden die verwendeten Text für englisch, deutsch und französische übersetzt.

coComment WordPress Plugin v0.6

Die erste Inkarnation meines coComment WordPress Plugin hatte eine grosse Unschönheit: wenn man nicht bereits bei coComment angemeldet war, wurde einem ein Login Popup vor die Nase geknallt. Was mich selber gestört hat, haben auch andere bemängelt – Grund genug also nach Abhilfe zu suchen.

Offenbar haben das auch die coComment Macher gemerkt und haben bereits die Grundlage für die Lösung des Problems geliefert. Der zusätzliche Parameter im Javascript ist integriert und die neue Version zum Download bereit.

The first implementation of my coComment WordPress plugin showed an unpleasant behavior: if you were not logged in to coComment a dialog with a login form popped up. Although nice for promoting coComment, this was pretty annoying.Some research on the coComment site surfaced the solution: as outlined in this blog entry, the solution is to add one more parameter to the needed Javascript.This is done now, and the new version of the plugin ready to download.
